This blog is meant to help introduce newcomers to opera by collecting plot summaries and links to highlights on YouTube. (Since it's a first-timers' guide, I'll preferentially link to videos with subtitles, even if they're not my favorites musically or dramatically.) In the long term, it would also be nice to build a glossary of opera terms, and recommendations for people who already like opera and are looking for something new.
